This has to have been the most hectic and exhausting couple of weeks….we have been madly dashing around to get organised for the Excel Baby Show which is happening this weekend in East London. We are at stand M30 if you are there and would love to see anyone who is coming. We are going to be doing another free prize draw so if you are there then please do pop round and see us.
I have finally got back the first shots of all the new room collections. We had the most brilliant day doing the shoot, which was totally exhausting but really worth it when you see how fantastic the new collections look. The idea behind them is to create three new room collections that will take you and your little one on from the first baby room and hopefully we have created something that is as inspiring and fun for them as it is for you. We have also created another room collection that will work for babies and for slightly older children that you can adapt to suit a boy or girl or if you have no idea what you are getting you can start with the basics and add colours in afterwards.
The first new collection is called “Snowboarders” and you can see why, a stunning white roman blind with embroidered snowboarders in bright primary colours is complimented with pencil pleat blue curtains, the bed spread is padded and very soft in very cool blue and green camouflage. Just wait until you can see the real detail of the cushions, which are all individually embroidered hiphop stars and there are also complimentary blue and cream pocket cushions (great for secret hiding places). We have also designed another bedspread for really keen snow boarders in blue and green patchwork with more boarders all over it - great for girls and boys, my future sister in law was a pro-snowboarder and she thorougly approves !
The next collection is very, very striking and I am so excited about it, “Russian Dolls” has rich, bold 
patterns and designs, the curtains are pencil pleat white with appliqued and embroidered Russian Dolls on them, there are matching cushions with red piping, complimented with bright flowered cushions using mathcing appliqued fabrics, a stunning bolster cushion and the most gorgeous bold patchwork quilt. I think that this is a very unique collection and is pefect for someone who is really looking for something different and unusual. The collection will last, working as well for older girls as for younger ones.
We have also designed a collection for little girls (and perhaps their mothers) who dream of being princesses, the “Handbag and Gladrags” collection has beautiful white curtains with gorgeous handbag embroidered on them using lovely vintage inspired fabrics and styles. We have complimented this with handbag cushions and for the true princesses, cushions with gold and silver hearts and tiaras ! There is a gorgeous quilted bed cover that matches the whole set too.
Finally a collection for babies and older children, this is delightful - a stunning blind in a bright blue 
is complimented with white pencil pleat curtains and both are covered with fanciful, dream-like creatures in bright colours. We have teamed it with cushions and cot quilt covers as well as nappy stackers and laundry bags in complimentary fabric. The blind shown here is hanging in my little boys room and a friend of mine who wasnt sure what she was having has had the curtains made up and will be complimenting them with accessories in whatever colour suits the type of baby that she has ! Its a great collection for those looking for something just a little different again !
